From 38,000 registrations on the first day, the number
of registrations for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for
Postgraduates (NEET-PG) by the end of Monday evening reached 69,000,
according to testing services provider Prometric. The overwhelming
response prompted Prometric to release additional seats in all locations
on the first day of registration.
The NEET-PG for
admissions to PG medical seats will be conducted over 10 days between
November 23 and December 6 at 47 test centres across 33 cities. In a
release here on Tuesday, Prometric India managing director Soumitra Roy
said: “The registration and scheduling website offers real-time
scheduling for all candidates. At any one time, thousands of candidates
are selecting from 47 test centres in 33 cities, 10 testing days and two
sessions per day. The system needs time to display available sessions
based on the candidate’s selection, process each request, and update the
inventory simultaneously.”
Candidates have been
asked to keep in mind that they are allowed to register only once. They
have time till November 12 to complete registration.
